Weight management
Both Dr Cosgrove and Dr Ryan offer weight management consultations, which can include an exploration of medical options. To take advantage of this, simply book a FREE “Weight Loss Consultation” with the GP of your choice on our main booking page. We have patients in our weight management clinic who live in Formby, Southport, elsewhere in Sefton, Liverpool, or further afield. The first consultation should usually be face-to-face, but follow-ups rarely need to be, and we can post supplies out in temperature-controlled packaging.
Menopause

Dr Louise Sears is a BMS-certified menopause specialist: this means she is qualified to manage even the most complex menopause symptoms independently. She has completed advanced training in menopause, which means she can manage your menopause even if you have a complex medical history such as breast cancer, or if you’ve already tried other menopause treatments without success.
An initial consultation with Dr Louise is an hour long and costs £240.

Long Covid/CFS/POTS clinic
Are you struggling with Long Covid, CFS or POTS? Do you want to see a doctor who really understands what you’re going through and who can help?
Dr Ori Abrahamson offers a monthly Long Covid, POTS, and Chronic Fatigue clinic at Formby GP. She has particular expertise in managing Long Covid and used to be the lead clinician at the Knowsley Long Covid Service. Her interests include immunology, Long Covid, Chronic Fatigue Syndrome and POTS. She is currently involved in research related to Long Covid.

Coil fitting
Properly called intra-uterine systems (IUS), these can provide the progesterone element of HRT, and/or provide reliable long-acting contraception. To request an appointment, simply complete our coil clinic booking form and we can advise on the next available fitting appointment.
