We are a private family doctors practice, run by a husband and wife GP team. As experienced GPs, we can do pretty much everything an NHS GP can. Because our patients pay to consult us, they can book directly, enjoy longer, unhurried consultations, and very often choose from a wider range of options. Our patients usually choose to see the same doctor each time, allowing us to get to know each other. We issue private prescriptions and use private laboratories for blood and other tests, rather than NHS, but we can refer to almost all specialist healthcare services, NHS or private.

Our main surgery is at our Freshfield site. This is conveniently located opposite Freshfield Station – just down the road from the stunning Formby beach and pinewoods, and an easy train ride from Birkdale, Ainsdale, and Southport to the north, and Hightown, Crosby, Waterloo, Blundellsands, Bootle and even Liverpool to the south. Many of our patients also make the short drive to us from Ormskirk, Aughton and Burscough.

We now also have a branch surgery in Allerton, South Liverpool. This is convenient for our patients who live in Allerton, Aigburth, Woolton, Sefton Park, Hale Village, Mossley Hill and Childwall, as well as in central Liverpool and further afield.

We offer appointments in Freshfield every weekday, as well as home visits, video and phone consultations: the choice is yours!

We know that your time and money are precious. We will not recommend investigations or treatments that you don’t need. We believe in offering tests and treatments that are more likely to help you than to harm you. If you have symptoms or concerns, or a family history of a particular condition, we will talk to you so we can decide together which tests are appropriate.
